Last weekend, the Olympic games began. With immediately the 5 km for men. With our best skater ever Sven Kramer and of course a few other very fast skaters. As always the expectations were very high. However I cannot blame the Dutch, because the history has proved we are indeed not bad at skating. Also this time the results were more than good, gold, silver and bronze for the Netherlands! On Sunday there was the 3 km for women and Ireen Wust was capable to keep her head cool and won the 1 place, another gold medal for the Netherlands. Today during working hours the 500 meter was scheduled. luckily it was live on the NOS website so I could see another 1-2-3 for the Netherlands. This was the first time ever we have won this distance. Now we have already 7 medals, and we are very curious howmany there will come.
